Are You On The Same Team With Your Man?

Today I learned more about being on the same side with my man. I am the writer, but he is definitely the sales person. Now usually, I am very motivated and smiling a lot. I got up this morning, very excited to sell my book in NYC - until I got there. People would just walk by when you try to talk to them or they would flicker their fingertips and mumble "no" and I was getting impatient.

Needless to say his outlook was quite different from my mine.

Then I saw the momentum pick up and people were stopping and things got better. We sold several copies and I was satisfied. What I learned about success is that I have to be in charge of my own - not anyone else. Secondly what I also learned, is how important it is to be on the same page and in sync with my partner. If not, you will not accomplish your goal as one. Stick together, communicate effectively and support each other were the rules we played by. I learned a bigger lesson about selling books with my sweetheart too. It wasn't about how many books we sold, (even though that helps) it was about how we had each other's back - and that made it worth me improving on my patience and doing it again.
